eBay says USPS Ground Advantage rates changed on 25 Oct 2026, some up and some down. What changed and how to check shipping before you list.

eBay's Seller News Team says USPS made another round of rate changes to Ground Advantage on 25 October 2026. It comes a week after the 18 October change to how Ground Advantage is priced by the buyer's ZIP code, which we covered in our peak season update.

What sellers should know

Some rates went up and some went down. eBay says it depends on package weight, shipping zone and destination.
There are no amounts yet. eBay hasn't published figures or rate tables for this change, so the only way to know a label's cost is to check it.
Where your buyer lives matters more now. eBay says the recent USPS geographic pricing changes mean shipping costs can vary more based on the buyer's location.
eBay says more updates may follow. It plans to share information as it works with USPS and its other carriers through the season.

What eBay suggests

In eBay's words: "We encourage you to check current shipping costs when listing items. If you use calculated shipping, the rates will automatically be updated. You can also use eBay's shipping calculator to check the current rates at any time."

In practice:

On calculated shipping, eBay works out the cost from the package weight and size you enter, so weigh and measure the packed box, not just the item.
On flat shipping, the amount you set stays the same wherever the buyer is, so check a few quotes to near and far ZIP codes before you list.
On listings you made before 25 Oct with flat shipping, it's worth a quick recheck on heavier items.
